Anchor ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

When you create an Anchor account, we collect:

  • Email address (for authentication)
  • Password hash (stored securely via Supabase Auth — we never see your plaintext password)
  • Profile data you create within the app (name, color preference)

App data (notes, snippets, bundles, etc.) is stored in a Supabase database scoped to your user ID. This data is used solely to provide the service.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect analytics, usage telemetry, or behavioral data
  • We do not track which apps you install or how often you use them
  • We do not sell, share, or rent your data to third parties
  • API keys you store in Anchor (e.g., DeepL, email credentials) are encrypted via the OS keychain (Electron safeStorage) and never leave your machine

Anchor uses HMAC-signed keys that are verified locally on your machine. No key data is transmitted to any external server. Verification is entirely offline and stateless.

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at binusjonathan@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms via Supabase Auth. We follow security best practices and do not store credentials in plaintext.

If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data
  • Object to processing
  • Data portability

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Anchor after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
